Bitter Wind

Bitter, bitter is the wind,
That freezes soul but spares the skin.
When angry, hot words we embrace,
Deeper the cut to soul than face.

Long their seething blow is felt,
Never will the hurting melt.
Rein in your words, when tempers flare.
Their wounds may prove too deep to bear.
